What records should I buy?

Post by noesis » Thu Oct 09, 2008 2:39 am

I'm new to dubstep, just been listening to mixes and such. I'm not new to electronic music, however.

I have decks and I like to listen to tunes on them, are there any must have dubstep albums? I want to start ordering some vinyl... like five albums to start.

It's not for DJing, just for being stoned and listening to records. I tend to like mellower stuff, like Scuba and The Widdler... I bought Burial's album, that's sick.

Anyways, figured you guys could help me out, I have a few ideas but I didn't want to lead the responses, ya know.

Peace!

I hear that scorn made a few dubstep tunes, but I haven't heard them. Intriguing tho. I wonder if there are any orb tunes at or close to 140 bpm. But yeah, if you are not gonna be mixing, get some orb, sounds like it would be right up your street.
