If the powers that be didn't want to reap any qudos from a substantial terrorism threat then state security services would deal with it away from the public domain.

You'd think they'd want to avoid the outbreak of panic and fear, wouldn't you?...

Come on now, having mothers drink their baby's milk in front of security to 'prove' it's not a liquid explosive is exactly the point we've reached of insulting our civil rights.

Coupled with the quite hilarious colour coded warning system and we have a stage show more far fetched than an Elizabethan revenge tragedy.

You can't say there is not a threat. If you were on the recieving end of our policies toward other countries you would consider taking up arms.
I agree that the threat is often exagurated. But, not all the time. We give the terrorist's many reasons to want to bomb us. So we should be carefull. Terrorist do actuelly want to kill as many of us as is possable.

it's really too soon to say whether this was a legitimate hardcore threat or not. Gov'ts have played that terrorism card far too often for it to be taken seriously anymore. In the US the whole "terror alert" thing has been played like a political xylaphone, to the point where it has become meaningless....and every group of 4 or more bearded men is next security threat that will undermine the republic.

And that's really a shame b/c if and when the wolf actually does come, no one's going to be listening anymore.

He's got a bit of explaining to do about the whole mate with Sadam ting. And there is a bit of a question mark about certain aspects of his dealings in the past, not to mention the whole BB mistake. But, i do agree with a lot of what he says. I went to see him speak at the Round chappel in Clapton, actuelly just across the road from my house. The guys seems to be quite honest and that is rare in politics. He also not afraid to speak out, whether it may be to his detrement or not. Did you see him in front of the Senate commiteen in the states last year?

. The guys heart's is in the right place. Thats as good as your gonna get from a politician.
