took me a while to load the virb
really like your vibes
production could be better for sure
it seems you're dealing with speakers that have really terrible stereo imaging
your sub needs more beef
get your gun has a very weak 'center' and the drums are barely audible (as well as the sub)
Melodies and rhythms are all cool tho. Great start.
Kilimanjaro sounds much better than get your gun mix-down wise, and I enjoy the DMZ influence

darkmatterUK wrote:running out of samples??? no chance, your just not looking in the right places, when you watch a film, dont watch it to enjoy it, watch it in sample mode. i cant watch anything on the telly anymore with out summing up everything as a possible sample-Dubson- wrote:i've only just started as well, i think dubstep is running out of samples, heard two of mine in a stenchman tune the other day!

Its all done on headphones, until I get some cash together for some monitors, Ive recently redone Kilimanjaro with some pointers I got, and taken out the vocal samples, Im really glad you enjoyed the vibes man, DMZ are a massive influence on me as well, so its a compliment you clocked onto that

I've only started producing the last few moths as well, but I found that sample pack DVDs for cheesy funky house vocals (you know, woman giving it all Whitney Houston style singing "OOOhhh yeah" or "I WWWAAAANNTT you baby!) put through Audacity with reverb, distortion, clitched a bit, whatever effect chain,
AS LONG AS THEY ARE HIGH QUALITY SAMPLERATE
you can come up with some seriously interesting sounds. I've always found that it isn't always what's being said but the voice that's saying it thats interesting in a sample. Look at the number of MCs who talk total pish but because they have a really distinctive funky sound to their voice you really get into their tunes.
LOL It's garage Jim but not as we know it

Nobody gives no love in the dubs section. You need to come with some different dumbness to get noticed. If you actually make a good tune then you won't get any replies. Jokeeeeeeeeesssss
