Bored at work. Made 15 ringtones of my favourite tunes for my phone. Drank several glasses of lemon juice. Gone to the toilet without needing to.

I hate clients who take so long to fucking get back with a yes or no answer.

I was tempted but they would probably think I am having a wank or something.

I just sat at my desk doing it instead.

13 inch
4gb ram
250gb sata hard drive
Dual core 2.4ghz processor etc

Which are pretty good specks, an i managed to get mine for about £850.

I could have got a normal laptop which had even better specs for cheaper but its just the fact i like the apple set up so much more, like things dont go slow an freeze, everythings made so much simpler, the layouts generally alot nicer to use etc

That more what im paying for really, not the specs :)
You are obviously an idiot who has never used Windows properly or tried an alternate open source environment.
ah but this is kind of the point.

i don't think that anyone claims you can't get equally good stuff for less money, if you're really into it. of course, if you wanted to do some research, learn how computers work, understand what an OS does and how to run bootcamp or parallels or whatever else, then buy a bunch of components, put them together, get everything working....

if, however, you're not an ubernerd, and just want something that does a job well, you can pay a bit extra. which is why i'm not really interested in bootcamp, parallels, hackintoshes and all the rest of it - i've spent half my life dicking around with PCs trying to get things working, and now i'm knocking on 30 i finally realised that it's not really worth spending a week getting something working just to save 50 quid. i could spend that week writing a tune.

likewise, if you want a bike to get to work on, it would be cheaper to buy all the individual components and build it. if you could really be arsed. or you could spend an extra 100 quid and get one from a shop.... :|

You can put a computer together in a few hours. On the weekend for example. Just buy all the bits from ebuyer and next day delivery if you order before 8pm and 99.9% of the items are in stock.

Also, you don't need to build a computer to install Ubuntu for example.
