used to use these...

and they served me well, quite liked the sound of them, but they died of old age (and the fact that the cable is massively long and I kept standing on it whilst bending down to get a tune, then standing up again stood on the cable, not healthy for them)
now using some peck shite but looking to buy something nice soon !

well i've only ever used the SPs in a club situation so can't comment on the sound quality, but the HD25s have a single cord coming down from the right headphone, whereas the SPs have a cord coming from both sides, which tends to strangle you! also, the cups on the SP are on these thin spindly things so they spin round a bit.Kayo wrote:Other than the price,
can you tell the main difference between hd 25 and hd 25 sp ?
basically, the upshot of this is that you spend much more time dicking around with cables and stuff with SPs!

Sennheiser HD600's for production (immaculate, tight highs, amazing headphones, needs a headphone amp tho, v high impedance)
Shure e4cs for transit, straight dope. 2nd pair, lead keeps spiltting.. thinking about ultimate ears..
sony mdr700s for live shows.
