How comes it was one of your biggest mistakes?Truncated wrote:i did the engineering foundation as i did a btec instead of normal a-levels, probably one of the biggest mistakes i made lol.crutch wrote:which i don't!!! well maths anyway. i heard if i was really on it i could take a maths foundation. cant see that happening tho, however much i like tinkering with equipmentTruncated wrote:definately not one for you if you don't like maths and electronics.

i never do things simply!
a) i didn't learn anything
b) Southend college has to be one of the worst managed colleges on this planet
c) the course was rubbish!
d) no degrees that were worth anything would take me with a BND
uni's still see it as a second rate a-levels and i can see why after taking them.
basically i chose the hard route i failed my as-levels more or less on purpose becuase i wanted to do the music tech thing, did the music tech thing realised how crap it was had to do a foundation year to get onto my course. I then did a year of music systems engineering and really didn;t get on with it or the lecturers teaching methods (tbh i couldn;t even understand about 3 of my teachers becuase as far as i could tell they couldn't quite speak english properly!). So now im having to start all over again on a different more suitable degree for me but had to waste 2 years to get here.
oh yeh what really fucking pisses me off is that everything i did in the foundation year was fucking repeated in the first year of the degree anyway! ffs!
Oh right. I don't really know too much about the route on to Uni and stuff so this is all pretty new to me. Like I didnt know how Uni's would look at the BND as opposed to A Levels and what not. I was hoping to do A Levels in Maths, Physics and Music but got kicked out of school right at the end of the year so didn't have much choice but I'm working at getting things back on track. But anyway, thanks for the info.Truncated wrote:becuaseProLife wrote:I'm doing BTEC at the moment. A Levels were never really an option at my school because they didnt want me back lol. you'll often find that most courses involving maths/electronics etc will require you to do a foundation year, the more traditional media based music technology degrees won't.ProLife wrote:Oh right.
