I use AKG's K 701s for late night tracking ... I'll never regret buying them :)

HD25-1 II. Cord could be just a touch longer but apart from that very happy.

can you tell the main difference between hd 25 and hd 25 sp ?

used to use these...

and they served me well, quite liked the sound of them, but they died of old age (and the fact that the cable is massively long and I kept standing on it whilst bending down to get a tune, then standing up again stood on the cable, not healthy for them)

now using some peck shite but looking to buy something nice soon !

well i've only ever used the SPs in a club situation so can't comment on the sound quality, but the HD25s have a single cord coming down from the right headphone, whereas the SPs have a cord coming from both sides, which tends to strangle you! also, the cups on the SP are on these thin spindly things so they spin round a bit.

basically, the upshot of this is that you spend much more time dicking around with cables and stuff with SPs!

I've used the Technics RPDJ1200 for about 10 years & love them. I like the swivel action on the cups, and the single cord is nice - just wish the cord were shorter. After such a longtime of use, the pad on that goes over the head is getting worn & showing their age, but they still work beautifully.

Sennheiser HD600's for production (immaculate, tight highs, amazing headphones, needs a headphone amp tho, v high impedance)
Shure e4cs for transit, straight dope. 2nd pair, lead keeps spiltting.. thinking about ultimate ears..
sony mdr700s for live shows.

would def reccomend the hd25's for djs tho..

Stanton DJ Pro 3000. Excellent. But I think that the HD 25 are better, and easily more comfortable.
