Chase & Status - More Than Alot
eastern jam is good for what it is i guess (ie slightly disposable floor fodder done well with a good intro)
but my god pieces is awful. Im actually going to scratch the fuck out of that side of the vinyl purely to avoid the embaressment of owning a playable version of that tune. Just thinking that buying eastern jam increases the sales figures for that atrocity actually hurts my soul.

it works on the dancefloor that's for sure...unlikely wrote:eastern jam is good for what it is i guess (ie slightly disposable floor fodder done well with a good intro)

no, thats what is gettin pushed at raves more that is all. i dont like to use the word jump up, but the "jump up" stuff serves its purpose as does the other styles.BUNJCORE wrote:A little harsh, but this is all I'm hearing out these days so very true.Grievous Angel wrote:Heard the dubstep stuff last night.
Fucking awful.
This is the future of dubstep and it sucks. Utterly bleached out, soul-free toss.
obviously there are a few bits on the border that people would class as hype aswell but they touch a bit deeper than ur standard wobbler.
its NOT the future of dubstep, its just whats big at raves. the genre is so wide and there are so many sub styles bein pushed by so many different people that theres still a MASSIVE proportion that still holds those qualities of the original deep and dark stuff.
look at antisocial for example. theres plenty other names i could name but they seem to be the biggest of the list.

wouldn't say it was necessarily the future of dubstep, but i have to say when i was dragged out against my will to see them by some mates, they played some of their dubstep stuff and i came to the same conclusion as you tbh.Grievous Angel wrote:Heard the dubstep stuff last night.

Sorry man but I had to crack up when you say pieces is 'so fucking deep' haha are you serious?? Surely we're not talking about the same track here...DJ VK - SNAKEBITE ENT. wrote:From what I've heard, it's definitely ALOT.

Some people need to stfu bitching
I don't really feel any of the Dubstep tracks aside from Eastern Jam
But Chase & Status have been making DnB like 'Pieces' for a while now...they are originally DnB artitst, realeasing an LP on an established DnB label.
The fact that they put some Dubstep trakcs on their LP next to their wanky DnB, really does not mean the end of Dubstep.
Streetlife is the best tune on there anyway
