Caspa - Bred get Bun Q (Not about the wobble!)
Ez,
this has been driving me nuts, this sound isnt specific to this tune mind ive heard it in lots but first tune that came to my head was this Caspa ting - but basically what the hell makes the melody?
Clearly some sort of synth but what waves and effects are used to create that sort of sliding synth sound?
Sounds like a saw with a few effects but cant for the life of me figure it out!
Cheers in advanced.

Up a clip. I'd prefer to avoid Caspa's myspace where possible.

Because I don't want to have to pause what I'm listening to, find the part of the song he's talking about, listen to the song, comment on the song. Its much easier if he simply uploads a clip.darkmatterUK wrote:purely out of curiosity, but, why?D+ wrote:I'd prefer to avoid Caspa's myspace where possible.
Also, I don't like Caspa's music these days and have no desire to have it forced upon me via myspace.
I hope that satisfies your curiosity.

I will give that a go, thanks!
And no idea what the beef was with the tune ID thing but this isnt a tune ID thread...

What you call a "sliding synth sound" might be made by any synth offering the option of "glide", which by my knowledge is allmost any synth. Atleast this is regaring the sliding issue. The character of the synth sounds lot like some saws, if you asked me. Even though i might not be taken as a reference.TheAccuria wrote: Clearly some sort of synth but what waves and effects are used to create that sort of sliding synth sound?
edit: Oups, forgot to mind the quoting syntax.

Aye i've played with the glide and got something similar, my sound is a bit harsher and bright but I plan to filter the fook out of it anyway, cheers all!

detuned saws with portamento, it actually sounds alot like a hardcore lead, probably a bit of overdrive and chorus and stuff on it too, i know ive made synths sounding exactly like this in z3ta while making hardcore
in fact.....

if you download that bank, the "BIG TIIIIME!" patch in bank 3 could easily be modified to suit your needs, its almost exactly what you are looking for except its got a bit of a different timbre to it

Z3TA+ is quality.
