I'm literally right in this middle of this book - if you haven't already, check out The Lexus and The Olive Tree - sort of a precursor to this book - they build very well on each other.

i just started it yesterday. i've read alot of research pertaining to what friedman is saying. and indeed he does have a great idea!
another book really worth getting into, although i havent started it, is amartya sen's new one...heard him speak a few weeks ago...on identity, terrorism and violence. puts all this rage and hype into some very intelligent and decent perspective. should be out now.

I noticed that he was very pro-globalization and very anti everything else in his last book a lot, though I do have to say that this one is a fair bit more objective - I haven't noticed any significant bias yet and I'm halfway through.
I'll check out that one after I'm done this one - I haven't read at all since starting this new job, looking forward to getting back into it!

Yeah, I just smoke cigarettes and wander round looking sullen. Don't understand books, why would you read when you can wear sunglasses?
Hmm....

Yeah, reviews are your friend - feel sorry for the poor bastards that have to digest this toss quite frankly. I also like to talk at length about things that I read a 300 word article about and pretend that I actually witnessed it - people are often very impressed.
Don't we have television now, I thought this book fad'd dry up at some point.
Hmm....
