no way mate. alonso became one of the highest paid sportsmen ever when he joined mclaren. they definately didnt give hamilton preferential treatment (at the beginning of the season at least, arguably towards the end then maybe) because that would make the signing of alonso pointless, but after being given the same car hamilton exceeded expectations and in the end did outperform alonso. 1 point at the end of a season meant he finished 2nd and alonso 3rd. also you should take into account that each driver has a say in how his car should be prepared before a race and its well known that lewis hamilton is very meticulous when it comes to this so if you percieve there to be a difference in the cars then this is also a contributing factor.

as for glock... well his team mate trulli, who also stayed on slick tyres until the end, had an equally appalling final lap proving that their car by that stage was pretty much undriveable.

i know hamilton is seen as a manufactured driver, and understandably so, but his talent is ridiculous and hes consistently won championships from karting through to GP2 and now forumla1.
