It really is all about the melton mowbray incidentally. Although a nice pork and egg slice goes down a treat with salt & pepper and a cuppa every now and then

cottage pie yo, what it lacks in pastry it makes up for in beef and gravy. And Mash potato.
I have a real soft spot for those dirt pukka pies you get in the chippy, love that squidgy pastry.

The Pie: bringing Australasia & Ol Blighty together,
must be a celtic thing.
Dunno bout kiwis,
but just read Flippo's post & druel, jewel, drewel...whatever-
The pies here can be beyond belief...worth a visit to oz alone.
My fav's the curry pie...not like authentic indian bumhole-burner...savoury-like.

I'm visiting Notts in 10 days. I'm gonna get hardcore on the Pie eating front. Thai food is damn good but they know fook all about a good plate of stodge.
I'm gonna cook the most ludicrous pie.
