I could definitely sit back and chill with some herb while listening to that :)
The bass is a bit empty...
And the intro could def. use some kind of effect, cause those drums are nice, but they sound a bit empty too.

Otherwise very chill track bro.

Check out my new stuff too if you've got the time :)

Thanks man!

The drum intro is a bit long because it makes mixing into it before "Can't afford to get arrressttteeddd...." a bit easier. The bass in the drums is purposely cut at the beginning for that reason as well. After the bass hits, the majority is between 20-50Hz, so if your not using a subwoofer it might be rolled off. I might add some midbass punch to make it more iPod friendly, I keep going back and forth about how to balance that.

Thanks much for the feedback bro. When I get home and have my speakers I'll check out your track (at work now).

Real chill tune! Nothin negative to really say about it. :)

Very dub indeed!

Nice chilled vibes. bass was a bit lost, but I can almost hear the sub down there. Maybe worth a bit of variation on this though. Breakdown brought some really nice sounds, but it just slipped back in to the same stuff from before - without much progression.

Plenty potential for this one, could be a cracker!

Yeah, I'm going to play with the bass tonight. I mixed on a 20Hz to 20kHz system, and looking at my output the bulk is around 20-30Hz decreasing up to 50Hz.... and that deep bass sounds so good.... But today I've tried it in a few consumer stereos, and the bass is too deep for them, it rolls off. I'm going to leave that deep bass in there, but then EQ it up top a bit to make it sound better on iPods and regular stereos. So, basically it will range from 20Hz up to 80Hz, so some stuff will be lost if you don't have a 20Hz subwoofer but not all like it is now. They'll just get a bonus if they have the deep bass bins. I like the "warming" affect of 20-30Hz bass.

It's funny you mentioned that about the breakdown, as last night I was playing with adding a bit more after that break... so.. we are on the same page.

Learning as I go for sure, I really appreciate all the feedback from you guys.

Okay! 320 available on request.

I made some slight changes, I think it's ready to go! Myspace player updated (sound quality on Myspace sucks though)

this is cool, a little more warmth on the guitar would help the whole thing sit together a little more imo

Cool work bro. I agree with the above comments about the sub, but I never really judge a track through myspace, since that could easily be the issue.

Nice groove though overall....very IRIE! :Z:

Yeah, I'll send you the 320, MySpace doesn't do the way I like to do bass any justice.

Thanks for the comments.

Best,
