RANDOMER "BLIND"... dubstep/d&b DJ mix inside
There's more of a sense of space than you get in a lot of dnb these days, that could be interpreted as dubsteppy. And the something about the beats seems to have more to do with dubstep / garage / soca than with the funk derived breaks in dnb, although it's kind of hard to pin down exactly why.Utopian wrote:Not that I'm criticising the tunes, but do they really sound dubsteppy?

Good stuff from Med School, right up my street the Martsman tunes are amazing
You could almost put this stuff in the 'Minimal DnB' box, but its 2008 why clasify, it only narrows your mind....

BATTERING the new martsman bits, never saw this in the shop for some reason...
Really nice to see a producer look at dubstep and then look at dnb and take the "non-obvious" bits from either genre and blend them...
compare and contrast with all that pendulum / chase and status "simplification-through-big-massive-droppification" jumpup stuff and you'll see why randomer's way is better imo...
also - "travelogue" on audio freaks is a wicked tune...
