Haha, yeah they made for interesting reading! I can't see this thread going the same way though as certain blinkered, dillusional conpiracy nuts no longer post on here. Thank god.

Who are these alleged "delusional conspiracy nuts" you speak of?

I was only posting those to avoid people being unkind over other people's opinions.Nicely agree to disagree is the message here.

that's been my take on conspiracies for a long time. watching the bush administration take scissors to the constitution right in front of our faces, and hearing people talking about hidden conspiracies just kinda lost me.

i'd rather deal with reality than live in fear of conjecture.

They're not hidden if people are talking about them. Most of the conspiracy theories involve the very administration you're talking about cutting up the constitution, and have their very founding in the notion that the Bush administration et al are trying to enslave us. Now the theory is Obama, and I think he will enslave us. Most definitely. What US President hasn't done their part in shitting on the Constitution?

Basing your evaluation of evidence on whether or not it supports your beliefs makes you stupid. Not believing assertions based on 'evidence' which five minutes with google or even twenty seconds of actual critical thought shows is flawed, misrepresented, misunderstood or downright made up seems pretty sensible.
