I Didn't like taken, switched off after half of it had gone off.
(before you say you should have carried on watching you idiot. it was mainly because i was with my girl and ya know.. we wanted to go upstairs)
Mirrors.... was ok - not scary but kept me interested.
Eagle Eye.. i really liked it - because of the whole war on terror/id cards angle which is an interest of mine.
best of the 3.. Eagle Eye..

Not strictly a movie but just finished watching Brooker's 'Dead Set' series. Phenomenal stuff - who knew he had this in him? Few slow patches here and there but the last two episodes were some of the most gripping TV I've watched since... wait for it... here it comes... The Wire. Yes, it was that good.

was suprisingly entertained by "Wanted" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0493464/ )
straight up action film - good twists and special effects also with angelina jolie, james mcavoy and morgan freeman , can't go wrong

YES!!!!! Rollerball is a fucking mint film!
"Jon-a-than, Jon-a-than"
There was a remake not too long ago but I suspect it was wack.

I bet you'd fuck someone in the ass and not have the common courtesy to give him a reach-around.

Yeah I kinda felt like that when I first saw it, good film though I think I need to watch it again. I haven't seen anything in ages.BETAMAXNOMATES wrote:Didn't really get Elephant. It was visually quite striking and - as you say - had some nice sound design but... I dunno, I just never felt emotionally invested in it. Still, an interesting take on a topic that could so easily be distorted by heavy-handed moralising and whatnot.

How was that? Alexandre Aja is responsible for that one. High Tension is a genre classic so I'd be interested to know how mirrors turned out, plus Ajas' signed up to do the PIRANHA remake (in 3d!!!!! Lols!!!!)....BETAMAXNOMATES wrote:Just about to watch 'Mirrors', the Keifer Sutherland horror movie. Expectations are low but it should be worth the odd scare.
Watched a spanish film called King Of The Hill recently. It was Badass... highly recommended.
Recents...
Dark Water - Hideo Nakata's finest, I reckon. One of the scariest movies I've ever seen. I watch a lot of horror movies and for the first time in around 10 years, I was freaked out in the flat all alone (ok, so I might have been a little stoned)
Audition - Korean widower is on the lookout for a new partner, so he sits in on a friend's auditions for a movie role that may or may not exist. Girl takes issue with his tactic and turns the tables... good, but not as good as I thought it'd be. GREAT sample material though....
Not as good as...
Hard Candy - Ellen Page (now of Juno rubbish fame) as a 14 year old girl who turns the tables on a guy trying to groom her over the internet. Seriously fucked up... no major gore, but pretty nerve-wracking as a bloke. Interesting to watch with girls around to compare the reactions...
