~~ SUBATOMIC SOUND SYSTEM ~~
Subatomic Sound | New York
For nearly a decade Emch has been the producer, selector, musician, dubologist and label head behind Subatomic Sound System, a NYC/Brooklyn based collective dedicated to preserving and extending the many roots and branches of Jamaican dubwise studio techniques and the sound system tradition that once birthed hip hop on their home turf.
Subatomic Sound System has blasted the sound around the world on wax, CD, satellite transmission, radio waves, internet connections and of course live in person from the dark depths of illegal Brooklyn warehouse parties to renegade festivals in remote Canadian forests, from renowned art museums in Vienna & NYC to the asphalt of city street corners beneath the Manhattan bridge, from glossy flossy clubs worldwide to city parks and backyard blowouts, from the highest Rocky Mountains to the edge of white sand beaches in Miami and California, proving time again that music is universal and dub and bass are the unifying principle.
Besides touring and producing tracks for seven releases on six different labels in the past year, Emch also makes time to host the Subatomic Sound radio show, blasting independent underground sounds from around the world, every Wednesday night in NYC on 91.5fm in conjuction with KEXP.org, MoGlo and Nomadic Wax.

~~ ECHO PILOT ~~
Ombase Recordings | Vancouver
Echo Pilot was born at a young age of zero. He used to play with Lego blocks. Now, music is his lego. With a bass in one hand, and a tape echo unit in the other, he is now equipped to deal with reality and non-reality in a dubwise fashion. His love of dub and electronic music turned into a desire to play and produce. Echo Pilot plays bass, melodica, synth and does beat and soundscape construction. There have been three albums officially released by this dude. The first one you can't really get anymore, but if you ask him nicely, he'll burn you a copy in exchange for a cup of coffee. His most recent release “Ghost Lion Navigation” is an excellently produced work of art, with phat dublines, wicked lyrical flow, and an overall diversity of sounds and beats. His live P.A. set is always a treat to watch as his bassmanship overtop his beats gets you grooving in an iriedubstylie!
