We're not talking about someone who used it well. Then again, I've never heard anything that was made with it I liked. I'll invite you to point some out to me though, as I'm sure you're right. I thought that about Fruity as well before someone schooled me.Paradigm X wrote:Surface_Tension wrote:I can't even take this thread seriously anymore.Junglist wrote:My weapons of choice will be [...] Acid Pro.

The DAW wars are useless. I know plenty of people that can kill it with Acid, mostly ragga producers. General Malice and Archangel being a couple. FL Studio basically has Acid built into it too when they introduced clip tracks. You can have the most expensive and "best" software and still produce shit music.

1:10 long, made with acid pro, didn't sound good(I actually just signed a full roster of tunes from Europe for vinyl, I think maybe ONE is from Canada.
So anyway, have a good one.
...made in logic pro 8,
used acid pro 6 on windows because it have vst's exclusive to windows os....
also made in under 4 hours with cack headphones. And while it may not have sounded good, I doubt if I had even achieved what I had set out to do you would still not have liked it. I'm not sure the dark industrial sound would appeal you americans.

Have you ever heard any of the music that comes from the US?
One of my boys is Claw from Trill Bass. I was the first American to sign something along those lines, hell he was the first person making shit along those lines. In the end, distro fell through so I cut him loose to sign with Shift Records. Shift001 was one of the only tunes on Z Audio distro to break even at that time. An American label.
So why not fuck off with that hate speech. Calling me a homophobe., when one of the persons who runs our label is gay is a bit waste. You have no idea who you are talking to, or what bridge you are burning. I'm in contact with every producer you'll be playing tunes by and every label you'd want to be signed by. I'll settle for an apology.
Yes I have heard dubstep that comes from the US, it (imo) all sounds too clean, like it was made in some high end studio.
And please don't talk to me about a hate speech when the first thing you said to me/about my work, was:

That first shit was a joke. FTL.
Also I don't hate gay people, I just felt 'homophobe.' was a fitting comment for an American because judging by the media / movies I have seen (which I know are nothing to go by) their is allot of prejudiced against homosexuals so I presumed it would be more insulting that the typical 'wanker' comment.
And no sorry I don't have any idea of who i'm talking to, and I don't even know you so there is no bridge burning going on at the moment. You were the first one to through an insult my way by calling my work 'shit' so don't get your knickers in a twist when I swear at you.
There will be no apology, the only apology I hope to see would be from you, and if that happens, well I don't hold a grudge and will happily apologize for insulting you.
I mean why would I apologize when you were the first one to insult me?
Apologize please and show me that your not as egotistical as you come accoss.

wow yeah, i realy slated America there lol. By stating that I though American dubstep sounds too clean! OMG RACIST! RACIST!
your such a little weasel, trying to make it look like I said terrible things with your:...Just stop talking o me. I've pointed out what an idiot you are, and now you yapping on about my opinions on dubstep musicSurface_Tension wrote: And next time you come bashing every American producer and label, I'm posting that PM out in the open for people to see how you really feel.

just an FYI, General Malice does not use Acid. He started off on an MPC, not acid. who cares what you use, the end result should be all the concern.relik wrote:The DAW wars are useless. Thanks for the correction. Actually meant 16 Armed Jack, but yeah...doesn't matter what you use, a good tune is a good tune. Just think about the gear people were using before DAWs came around. Hell, Dextrous did most of his production on an Atari 520STFM.Direct Feed wrote: just an FYI, General Malice does not use Acid. This was not my proudest work. My track was definitely forced, and sub par to my standards. However all it was, was a battle tune for this particular battle. Thanks to everyone who liked it, I’ll more than likely work on the tune to bring it up to my standard, or be scrapping it all together.
Junglist,
Good battle, I actually liked the sound of your tune and where it was going. Maybe we can have a rematch when you’re more prepared and have more time. But seeing how all you do is mostly talk shit and come up with excuses when confronted, I doubt I’ll waste my time with you again. Also, why is your track only about a minute, while the screen shot of your session has over 600 measures in it? Just wondering.

Ah, well the smoke has cleared and I don't have any fury or rage left for anyone so you won't get an angry disgruntled responses from me. I don't know about the 600 measures thing :S I make my tracks at: 140bpm (2756), 1/16. So their are loads of measures per second. Also I drag elements along so I can work on stuff separately without the hassle of muting or soloing multiple tracks. Nice track btw and like the sig lol.justrob wrote:This was not my proudest work.
