I was wondering, what's the (creation) time span on the album tracks? I am sure most are from 2007/8 (or 2011), but any other "oldies"?
"Bang Bang..." was originally released on the Angel EP (vinyl only) which came out this summer on Creative Space. But since it was never released digitally or on cd, Mike wanted to include it on the album. It is probably the 2nd oldest track on the album. It took a while for the "Angel EP" to come out because of problems with the master plate.... which had to be re-made. So the delay really pushed that record back.
Regarding "oldies"... "Marsh" is probably the oldest track on the album. It's like 2 years old I think... but I did go back and revise it for the album. I had sent that track to Mu back when I was just sending demos out to labels I liked, and Mike had kept it (which is pretty cool). He asked me "whatever happened with that track 'Marsh'..?" and i was like, "hmmm. nothing... wow... I haven't listened to that track in a year probably."
But most of the music on the album is very new. "Pressure", "Time Traveler", "Spacewalk", "Striking Distance", "Pictures" and "Dark Alley" are all pretty recent. "Miracles" was like December/January 2007->2008, and I believe "Last Chance" was around that time as well. "Gutter Music" is from March of this year I think.
I used to date all my bounces... but I stopped doing that about 2 years ago. Now everything just ends up in a folder with the year.
Thanks for asking.
