And if you don't mind me asking, what did you do to get signed? Just send out mp3 demos through email?
With us, it was as easy as sending us the tunes. Hit us up on the PM, the AIM screen name attached to this account, or drop your tunes in the dropbox in my signature. Click on the surface tension email to hit our myspace.

Well they also have to be great tracks as well--so it's not JUST about sending them. Just hit up the labels and if they are good enough and you have properly tagged your files with contact info, they'll be in contact.

HXDB did both of those... hit us up, and made good tunes with which to hit us up. That simple.
it also never hurts to build some rappor with people. talk to people, get djs playing your stuff, keep making tunes. if you are gettnig your name out there and making connections with people (and personal connections, not just "what can you do for me?" connections), then good things will come your way.

a lot of the people now signed to our label are people i have been talking to, or who have supported me by sending dubs (and me supporting them by playing them) for a while now. it was those people that i went for first. and that's why building some rappor with people is so important. these are people whose tunes i like, many of whom i have been talking to personally for a while now.

i try and listen to everything that i can that gets sent my way, but in all honesty, i listen to my friends' stuff first.

bless up everyone for the kindness and well-wishes. I'm feeling really inspired right now and have a bunch more tunes on the go, that will also, hopefully see the light of day some time soon.

Also, keep watching this space for more updates.

Updated...

Prism has just been signed by the soon-to-be-legendary Mindset!

Very excited to be working alongside Indigo and so many of the other talented people there. :)
