Still holding out for the Mr Ed movie. Don't really want to see it, just like to see some Hollywood cokehead prick spend loads of money on it and see it fail.gravious wrote:Hmm... There's at least 500 old blockbusters still to be re-made, and at least 50 more 60s/70s/80s tv shows to be given the hollwood treatment.

I have to say, the best super hero film by far has to be Batman Begins. Well dark. There also going to be two more, but im not so sure they will be as good. The only thing that lets it down is Katie fucking Holmes.. Shit casting but i'm sure that had to do with Cruises ex agent. Its been siad that Toms odd behavour only started when they parted ways. It seems the agent was keeping him on tight leash. I hope he ends up a sad lonly drunk with no money, probably having spent the money on court cases try to prove the child prostitutes in the basement were actuelly his adopted kids. He's also done some obsolute toss tho (for example gone in sixty seconds, captain corelli's mandolin) and dumb stuff like the rock, con air and face/off.unlikely wrote:sorry that was a bit harsh, he's quite good in wild at heart
and i gave away the end of a good film (the original) which is a really annoying thing to do
Quite liked the second Batman film with Michelle Pfeiffer in it, again pretty dark, but there was an interesting look at the morality of all the main players which showed them to be more flawed than evil. Hollywood doesn't mind it's anti-heroes but mostly the villains have to be almost irredeemable in most fillms, which seems too black and white to my mind.metalboxproducts wrote:I have to say, the best super hero film by far has to be Batman Begins. Yeah and once you add the court costs for the kids in the basement he'll be broke. I'd like to see him try to squerm out of that one.Shonky wrote:Quite liked the second Batman film with Michelle Pfeiffer in it, again pretty dark, but there was an interesting look at the morality of all the main players which showed them to be more flawed than evil. I think 21 grams was quite interesting in that respect, the Sean Penn character dying of cancer is such a selfish shit to everyone around him, yet would generally be cast as a victim in most films and Benicio del Toro is constantly striving to make good his actions regardless of how fate conspires against him.
As for Cruise, I've got the idea that a lot of this Katie Holme's business, jumping on sofa's etc, is a really ham-fisted attempt to prove that he's a red-blooded hetero after all the slurs through the years (scientology is apparently well renowned for being able to "cure" gays as well). Was wondering at what point he's going to be wearing an "I like birds, me" T-shirt
Never quite understood why he's such a big star, as he doesn't seem to be that great an actor or that charismatic, but that doesn't seem to have stopped him minting it over the years. Mind you, I thought Collateral was pretty good, but I think that would have been regardless of him being in it.
Can't imagine how badly he'd have to fuck up to ever be broke - even if he never worked again he has to be worth a few hundred million. Even if he remarried a few times, and the subsequent halving of fortunes he'd still probably be alright.
