kay wrote:*grumble* everyone keeps saying how good the Youngsta vs Hatcha set was. I was there but I can't actually recall much of it. Spent most of my attention shoving people off me and trying to stay on my feet! Vaguely remember enjoying the bits in between though!
lol. i found their set to be pretty good but just knowing what both of them COULD of played i would definately say they didnt go all out so to say...
hijack and chef did sum crazy mixes. the last tune was massive.
on the note of shoving, i did see sum over the top moshing which got a few ppl shaken up and they proceeded to vacate the scene..
the middle was just like a jungle.

Queuing from midnight til half one meant there was plenty of time to quaff a few cans and stuff me socks with mini vodkas...no need to hand over 4.20 for a Red Stripe later on. Best sound was Kode 9 spinning drum'n'bass in the basement bar (to about 30 people) but nowhere was it loud enough, especially upstairs, but atleast there there was room to dance...Silkie & Quest played to like 20. Doorstaff were charming compared to DMZ. Was alright but I prefer to take part in front of a speaker rather than watch from a balcony, I didn't feel as involved as usual.

Also, cloakroom charging you 2 pounds for every piece of clothing when the fucking ticket says it's 1 pound left a bit of bad taste in my mouth.
Oh well.

Thought it was plenty loud right next to the speaker in the room upstairs, my ears were ringing for the next couple days! Bass wasn't quite as chestpounding as FWD, but then again where is?
