This is my first time attempting to create anything after mixing dnb for a few years and recently dubstep. Came from dnb and wanted to start producing, so finally decided to try dubstep out after searching here other places trying to learn the basics.
Here is my attempt. If anyone could point me in the right direction and give me some feedback/tips I would appreciate it. I've been trying to get as many people's opinions as possible. I'm in the experimental stage trying to learn as much as I can, if it sucks please tell me why.
Edit: Updated version.

If this is really your first tune (which I don't believe) it's very good.

No the bass was made first with a standard detuned sine sub in Absynth. Then I chained a distortion line, saturation line, vowel a filter, lfo modulated by an enevelope, eq and compression in Kontakt. The sound mostly is shaped by the lfo and envelope. I fixed the sub a little bit, will upload updated version later.

OK, I lowered the sub some among other things, hopefully not too much. Oh well, I'm done with this and want to move on to something else. Here is a high quality updated version. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

wow, when I made my first tune I didn't even know what sidechaining was! I think it's kinda funny that you magically learnt how to use a synth like Absynth and complicated production techniques (like how an LFO works) and then made your first tune!
It's a miracle!
Sorry I'm just pissed off cos you're passing off this 'Check my first tune' bullshit when it's obvious you have at least a few years of production under your belt.
Nice tune tho lol

yeah it is my first tune, sdf3 can back me up on this. Anyway that's not what 's important, I just wanted to get some feedback. I have been messing around with these programs for many months now and this is the result of that. This is the first time I have put all of these sounds I have been messing around with into a track. I have been reading this forum and the grid a lot amongst other tutorials to help me learn some of the stuff I used for this tune.

the only thing i noticed is that the bass doesn't hit very hard
in my experience, when adding distortion to a sub bass is takes away from the low end. what i do when i want to distort a sub bass is just create a clean sub bass and a distorted mid bass and eq the bass out of the mid range sub. keeps the oomph of the sub and the dirt of the distortion.

i
Were you listening to the recent one? Thats the one where I lowerd the sub a lot. I don't think my monitors are very accurate around the low end. I did have a clean sub and a distorted sub but I lowerd it, I can boost the sub bassline some more. Thanks.
