Well I think Mala and Kode can charge anywhere between £800 and £1500 depending on the gig (with VAT on top which is a killer) so you can guess at the rest.

Not been able to get any of the top top boys for £300 since early 2006.

Generally though it depends on what sort of night you're putting on as to how much you'll be charged. Difference between a huge event with, say, Andy C et al in main room and then big dubstep DJs in the second room and a smaller independent dubstep-only night

Mate of a mate dj's dubstep up in nottingham and said that the pay is crap but he does it cos its a guaranteed good weekend every weekend.
While DJ'in he has finally managed to open his own car garage and has become a full time mechanic..

BASED ON THIS I GATHERED SOME INTEREST INTO WHAT THE TOP NAMES OF DJIN DO JOBWISE...

IF YOU dont care and dont want to know then YOU dont have to read the post, its all in the title!

my mate worked with Quest and Silkie about 2 years ago (call centre type thing i think) but they both quit well before their first releases on Deep Medi (dunno if that was to concentrate exclusively on music tho)...
