no, threads/attitudes like this are what ruins dubstep/music in general.
Don't listen to what you don't like, support and inject positivity into what you do like.

no producer can ruin a music genre.. especially not dubstep, it's just to diverse.

BOOHOOHOOHOOHOOO WEHHHHHH YOU'RE RUINING MY DUBSTEPZ
get over yourself, stop being an eliticist baby and indeed go buy records you like and visit parties you like, and let the people that are into the c&r sound have their fun. been to any parties lately? it's not the sound I listen to all the time at home, but damn they smashed it in utrecht last friday, delivering exactly what they're known for: partyhardy dubstep. if you're looking for nuance or depth, you're looking in the wrong places.
ofcourse, mainstream attention focusses mainly on the style caspa and rusko play (+ skream, benga). your event is most likely to sell all tickets if you book names like theirs, because they're both known within dubstepcircles as well as amongst mainstream crowds. is that a negative thing? not as long as they're also parties with deeper/other lineups. only when the only kind of dubstep to be heard on wax and in halls is the C&R sound, they have 'ruined' it. till then, please smile more often.

Hmmm, perhaps the forum is ruining dubstep - should we turn it off again?
