13TH DEC - CHRIS LIEBING, SCUBA, PINCH + LOST SOULS

Post by rob_booth » Sun Dec 14, 2008 2:39 pm

what an appalling sound system in room 2

where was the bass, surely that system is designed for a 'chill out' vibe for DJ's like Chris Coco.

Pinch's set was great, but when he dropped Loefah's remix of skreams "I" it was so flat

..........then where do u start with Scuba, came all the way from Berlin and the set up was all wrong for him !!

I spent 3 hours at a different dance @ Rushup literally round the corner, there 17k rig was insane, the bass was shaking my trousers and the crowd were loving it.

Nice crowd in room 2, met some lovely people and also met Peverelist there, but surely if yar gonna put dubstep in room 2 again the s/system needs a complete overhaul

Interesting.

I was set to head over to this, but the trek from Shepherd's Bush at midnight didn't quite appeal, and I'd never have been able to get back to my mate's in Fulham.

I would like to say in my defense there was not much i could do. When i went to see the venue a few months back the venue the owner said the sound system in room 2 was the same as room 1 and both rooms were supposed to have a full set up in each room (2x technics, xone 92 & 2x cdj 1000s.)

The party was supposed to start at 10pm and when I turned up the venue owner had booked bands in up and till 11:30pm.

I found out there was 3 cdjs missing, no needles and to top it off the system in room 2 was limited to sound not much better than some battery powered ipod speakers.... The monitor was actually kicking out more sound than the full system.

To top the night off in sound system in room1 while the headliner Chris Liebing was playing kept cutting for a few second... at about 6am the system completely blew and the party had to be shut down.

I have been running parties for many years and this has definitely been the worst venue set up to date so far. Alot of the clubbers had no idea of the problems and i have some good reports back, but it seems that everyone that came to see Scuba, Pinch & Dowee suffered.

I would like to apologise to anyone that had a bad night please drop me an email antonydifrancesco@hotmail.com and i'll sort something out to compensate.

Thanks & Sorry

Antony

mate, I feel for you.

When walking through the main room, I thought that s/system was pretty punchy, but like u say, room 2 was dreadful.
