that festival goes from 4pm to 9am. Otto will be playing more of his miami bass stuff at this festival, kind of sounds like the soundtrack to a strip club on mars. he is a very talented guy and quite the comedian as wellpoepsnor wrote:So this is an by day festival? Will try to come over, first time in miami so don't know really how it is overthere.

check out his tune "Bass, Low, Speaker, Chrome" coming out in 2009 on BassHead Music: www.myspace.com/bassheadmiami
Just a personal opinion on Miami Beach, but, I think there is also an application for some of the mellower dubstep in lounges and such. I honestly can't see big wobbly stuff being played in some of the larger clubs based on the people I have met in South Beach.
In other words, my asshole opinion is that dubstep could take off in Miami, but it wouldn't be in the form that is perhaps as common in other cities across the pond. I could see Sines music, Solar Constant, etc. etc. being popular, especially mixed in with loungy music and such. I think a lot of people that grew up in the area will also have a lot of house influence and you might see that come out.
It will be interesting, I hope to get involved down here after the New Year (finishing up college).

this thread was started like 1 and half ago, since then miami has become one of the most popping cities for dubstep in the united states.
