tempah talks bollocks. Yes def worth the funds, great bit of kit and alothough not got exactly the same feel as an MPC the drum pads are the closest thing out there atm. I brought one a few months ago, best buy for a long time and I produce on Cuebase. A great all in one midi-controller that really saves on space and usb ports.

Because reason has a built in template for the mpk, So everything is auto mapped. You can save a template for any Daw though, you just have to set it up.As for the arp or note repeat you have to select external in global settings for it to lock to your projects tempo :)

I tested both out I prefer the MPK.

And tbh Tempah, and all in one controller is diff from getting and MPC no?

I have an mpc2000, that’s how I come to say the pads are not as good, but closer than any other controller I tried out. I said you were talking shit because you only valued it when used with reason, I value it and I use cubase. And what the fuck do I need a swing control on the keyboard when I got full control in cubase?

The keys are semi weighted and you are not going to find a better bit of gear for this price. I am sure that if the man has a few more hundred pounds to spend he could find a better midi-keyboard, buy himself a mpc and get a dedicated midi-controller. But for the most of us that don't have those kind of funds the MPK does a good job at combining them all within a package that represents good value for money.

Perhaps you should consider you arguments before getting all tetchy.

yeah the mpc def my best buy, mucho fun, can't get it to controll midi tho.

The MPK is a midi controller. its there so you can playin parts rather than sit and click it all in with a mouse. all the important stuff goes on in cubase, the MPK just allows a quicker, more organic way of entering the midi data.
