Kode 9... pretty glaring one right there. One of the top sellers in the scene release wise as well, yea?

on a more serious note, of course producers move to London. If you're getting booked week in week out around London and South of England you're hardly going to live in Glasgow are you.

How come there aren't many producers and dj's from Scotland, Ireland, Wales? Why don't they represent? Why is it all English cats? No disrepecting the Irish, Welsh, or Scottish, just wondering why it doesn't catch on there... I guess once in a blue moon I see something outta Scotland, but I could be seeing things.
Im from and living in ireland ..ya gobshite  and there is another irish "dubstep" lable

Yeah, Glasgow/Scotland has a booming electronic scene! A ever growning number of Dubsteppers... The original post was some pretty ignorant shit if you ask me lol if you've never actually looked into something, then of course you're not going to know about it...

Few personal favs

I'm repping for Edinburgh & Scotland.

We have some good nights up here too.

Volume, Big & Bashy, JungleDub - then Termite, Profissee (MC), Paranoise, DFRNT (myself) and I'm convinced there's more of us here.

Then Glasgow has Electric Eliminators, Gravius, Rustie, Ballers Social Club & Lucky Me, Jackmaster, Mike Slot, Hudson Mohawk, and there's bound to be more lesser-known guys.

I know Dundee has Mr Coull, and his night Concrete Streets, and there's another one up there too putting on local talent for sure.

I'll admit, the title of this thread is wack.... I didn't mean it quite like that. I was intending to ask the question of why don't I hear more about people from these places. If they are from Ireland, Scotland, or Wales, I didn't know about it. I sure as hell didn't know Kode9 was from Scotland.

It is a grim wee place. No one's heard of it, so I have to say it's near Belfast (30 miles in it), so then everyone says I'm from there instead.

In Dundee last week there was 3 venues on the same street playing dubstep, pritty rare sight in dundee but its getting bigger, in september we had loefah and skream at 2 venues on the same night, benga the other week, i guess it will 'catch on' here soon though
