there's a shit load of captain beefheart unreleased tunes kicking about in a torrent somewhere on the internet.
not very specific i know, but i'm 99% sure one of the tracks is pure harpsichord. its a great piece of music, would be good for sampling too.
failing that, your best bet would be classical music.

i think the sounds in that are just beautiful-JQ- wrote:that's the one i was gona mention.. it's go so many instruments on it.. the piano on it sounds wicked too.. the horns and strings sound less life-like but there's a few realistic sounds in the library, especially the harpsichordTempahProductions wrote:the one in edirol orchestral vsti sound the same as this

one thing thou u cant buy it anymore so use google
i've found that alterting each note's velocity/amplitude/volume can add to the realism on any of those instruments...and knowing how they would occur in a real orchestra aswell...i.e dont try and do a 'this' lead on 'that' instrument etc...not always the case though.-JQ- wrote:that's the one i was gona mention.. it's go so many instruments on it.. the piano on it sounds wicked too.. the horns and strings sound less life-like but there's a few realistic sounds in the library, especially the harpsichordTempahProductions wrote:the one in edirol orchestral vsti sound the same as this

You're half right. It's a rhythmic pattern and an instrument. Claves are typically played to play the clave rhythm.ali jamieson wrote:i'm pretty sure 'clave' is a type of rhythm - not a percussion instrument. so a clave cymbal would be the cymbal doing the clave rhythm, very latin sounding
i could be wrong
