got this over the weekend. it works like a charm. i have the 30gb video ipod, and the only thing you have to remember is to leave enough room on the disk to record in high mode. you get a headphone line in jack, so you can go straight out of your powerbook or mixer into your ipod. it does take a toll on the battery, but i recorded a 70 minute mix in high quality 44khz without the battery dying. the file you get is a wav. say goodbye to minidisks. the belkin thing is $69 in the us, but if you hunt carefully you can get it for 50. peace.

you can rip the audio back to a pc right?

exactly. you just plug your ipod back in to your computer and the wav file is ready to go in the disk partition of the ipod. so simple. it's so stupid that apple didn't add this in themselves.
