I think it's Dubplate Wonder on production, they used to open their shows with it few months back but I never got the name of it.

Gotta say though, in my eyes Banton and Wonder are on a different league than most producers, they have a ridiculous amount of big tunes and they have developed a unique sound, far from the typical grime-ish or bongo-abussive house so common on this music lately.

I was able to record one of their latests shows on Deja, here it is if you guys wanna check it, with a tracklist I did today while working, probably full of errors and misspellings:

I'm really feeling funky at the moment.

Jackmaster's funkyish mix is so good as is Geiom's and the Hard House Bantom's sets.

I really want some more Apple beats I can't stop playing the one 12" I have of his.

i've tried and tried to get into this sound

and whilst there is the odd tune which I like - it just isn't hitting me.

seems like the people on these forums think its grime mixed with house, but when i speak to friends who rave to this and a couple of the DJ's they tell me its all about the house and that they don't like many of the more grimey productions

the name is also causing me problems.. why not just UK House?

As a big tech house fan, producer and (sometimes) dj i don't think I have missed the "house" boat. Far from it... but i'm much more a fan of the US House / UK House played by Kismet, IC, Feva, Superior, Pioneer, Marco Del Horno etc etc. Producers like Wbeeza and MA1 spring to mind - although I know alot of people class MA1 as "funky".
