those dudes are on point! always wondered what jit looked like. didn't see anybody dancin like that when i was in detroit.

Definitely! Its also kinda funny the competition between CHicago and Detroit dancers/ people in the messages under the videos. Like whether footwork came beferoe the jit or vice versa. Footwork and percolatin are some pretty awesome dance moves as well. So the argument about what came first or which one is better seems to be pointless, because they are all good in my imo. Another dance style and music coming up in the Chicago area is the Juke.

BTW- Where did you go to in Detroit -struggle?

back in 97. spent a day at submerge w/mad mike, bought a crate of records there. juan atkins was hanging out there too :o went to three floors of funk that night. it was incredible and kinda scary at the same time.

I have a soft spot in my heart for detroit and the music from there.

yeah, once he came to kansas city just to check out the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum there. he was really excited about it.
