my first dmz. and i'm not exaggerating by saying it was one of the best nights of my life.

lovely soundsystem, ridiculously good vibes, spot on DJing.

highglights for me was the tune at the end of hijak's set, those dubbed out kromestar ones, the anti war dub tapped mashup which just kept on surprising you.

saaaaafe to everyone i met. will definitely be returning to dmz as soon as i can.

I got there at 1.30am just in time for the start of Mystikz vs. Loefah which was jump up huge BUT Youngsta for me absolutely smacked it. Set was so stupid HEAVY!

I only had one beer and a few cokes all night and was skanking hard to Youngsta til 5am. First track from Cluekid also sounded promsing but had to bail cos I got my sons birthday party today (GA - you do it the day *after* get me?!!).

I could waffle on for ages about how and why it was so f***ing amazing but I'll just say big up to my girl for letting me wander in at 5.30am - woke her up to say how good it was and then left her to get the kids up while she let me sleep in for a few hours.

Also big up to all the regulars I saw (Deapoh, Boomnoise, etc) and new faces to names, Jazz, racket (good to met you), Bun-Zero and Caroline and all her mates!

Absolutely massive!

What a night!!

Not just the music, dj's but also the people. Its becoming a dmz community now!! Landmark business.

The queue outside at 10.15pm was something you wouldnt be wanting to join the end of!!

Hijack's first appearance at DMZ.... :o He had the crowd jumping from the off! This is a set id dream of hearing again from the recording. Yes he dropped bomb after bomb, yet the mixing aswell took the piss!! Id argue it was perhaps the best set of the night!!

Kromestar I think its a known fact that he has some weapons sitting on 10' dubplates, but thats an understatement!! Kromestar continued with the freshness, which again, resulted in a massive set!

Pinch Rightly labelled as one of Bristol's finest, Pinch got deep with the pressure, and upped the tempo throughout his set, as the set went on, the crowd reacted even more! and as you'd expect -dub for dub!

DMZ & Loefah Realistically, need i say anything more?.... DMZ tore the 1210's with accetates, and the atmosphere completely changed as soon as they entered the DJ booth, i guess the crowd knew they was about to be abused by the artillery Mysitckz & Loefah had ready.

I left after this set, gutted i missed Youngsta, CluKid & Cotti!

2 Tunes of the night for me:

ANTI WAR DUB VS TAPPED (played by mystikz)

UNKNOWN TRACK (played by Hijack, the one when skream ran to the dj box and wheeled up)

Large up all who attended, its said to often: BUT -If you didnt attend, then YOU MISSED OUT!!

(look out for the footage coming soon  )

Good stuff again...the last tune Pinch played was really nice. Loads of new plates from Mala too, that new bongo tune was :o .

Great to be in the crowd when Kalawanji drops too...merkery vibes!

heavy night, DMZ were superb. pinch warmed it nicely as well, he had the dance rolling properly by the end. left during youngstar's set, was too fucked to carry on.

ang tight that bouncer going around knicking weed off people, pure fuckery.

First one there, one of the last ones out. Fucking brilliant night altho I was too tired. Standardly laarge tunes by everyone.

I'm not sure about the levels in the place until Mala came on and turned it right the way up as it's sposed to be. 8)

haha ultimate respect for Bun - true soldier. i thought going up to leeds was long. this man, along with the estonians takes it to the next level!

oh yeh and also another huge tune was the one with the MCs who went

"raaaaa! raaaa! raaaaa!" with rolled Rs. if anyone has any info on that this would be wicked.
