When he wanted to move to Chelsea when you were really crap. It's common knowledge, not 'bollocks'.
Always good when 'real' fans come on here

Reports from Anfield suggest the club will not allow Gerrard to leave until he has submitted a formal transfer request.
..which he never did.
Try again.

He said he wanted to leave, how much confirmation do you want? He even went on record afterwards saying that he regretted it!!
Now please shoosh until you have something intelligent to add.

You claimed he'd handed in a transfer request and I said that was bollocks. Which it is. End of story right there.
Let's not talk about intelligence, eh.

If you need me to break it down for you, having "considered" for the "first time in his life" a move away from Liverpool, he turned down two Chelsea bids (2004, 2005) and the day after Rick Parry claimed we'd lost him (in 2005) he signed a new contract.
Grant reportedly made a third bid for him a few months back, April or something, and obviously that worked out.
There was never any "transfer request". Stop chatting shite then making out you're in the right, it's idiotic.
Done with you.

So saying you want to leave is not a transfer request??! lol
I can't believe I'm still perservering with this, but you are obviously too stupid and blinkered to see the truth, so here is yet another article about it

The papers are normally right in these cases, most of the transfer talk is just agent generated bullshit though.
Most people don't write formal transfer requests as it forfeits some of the benefits of the transfer (I think you miss out on the share of the transfer fee or something similar).
It's like the Berbatov and Ronaldo situations this summer, both wanted to leave, Berbatov handed in a formal transfer request near the end of the window to try and force Spurs to do business, Ronaldo didn't. The formal request is usually the last resort, but even then the club is under no obligation to sell.

Just finished Carragher's autobiography last night... according to him SG handed in a transfer request.
Also got a few mates in the police who say he'll get a suspended sentence at worse, and more likely community service (which would be hilarious... imagine him cleaning up graffiti with a load of 18 y.o. scouse scallies.

Gerrard is hands down the best player in the premier league for me..
The amount of games that he has won or saved for Liverpool is unbelievable. You might not like him bc he plays for Liverpool but you have to give him some credit... very few players have been as consistent as him in the last 10 years..
As for the transfer rumours.. he might have wanted to leave, but he hasn't... end of
btw I'm not a Liverpool fan but I think they would deserve the title.. it's been almost 20 years..
however next year it would be nice if a smaller club could play for the title just once.. but I guess that's quite unrealistic these days

As an Evertonian I find this bloody hilarious! What's even better is he's appearing in court on my birthday... imagine if he got sent down for 5 years - Liverpool fail to win the title - what a present that would be!

Very witty from the Sun.

We've got the best home record in the league and still have to play the scum, chelsea, arsenal and villa at home, plus we haven't played particularly well so far this season and Berbatov hasn't properly bed down yet. Just wait, it's going to be another Utd title you giddy scouser
Gutted this scouse blog isn't updated any more, it was genius
