As a label that's trying to be a little different it's not strange that some people hate it and some people love it.. I personally love the attitude of the label, bringing out new styles and pushing things forward, allthough I'm not always fan of what they bring out.. F.e I'm not really feeling that new Zomby EP. But it had some big releases and managed to bring forward some really talented producers, so big up!

He was either trolling, or someone swapped the labels on his records, surely...

what do you mean "THOSE kind of producers"??
When I say 'those' i mean the kind that seem to get away with writing extremely minimal boring tunes and get away with it, while everyone is slating rusko for being too wobbly, they're all getting away with being to.. 'nothingy'

take zomby or kode9 for instance, when i listen to their tunes, litterally nothing stands out to me, there might be like.. 4 seconds where I think 'hey that sounded quite cool' but it never goes anywhere, it just sounds too much like theyre trying really hard to be really interesting and deep, when it just comes off as being quite cheesy and almost like house music sometimes, there just isnt a lot of personality I find, but thats just what I think.

whats your deal?

I always see this guy talking about dubstep being boring...
because I find a lot of it to be really boring.. :?

sorry i dont love everything, i'm just really really picky.

What do you think of Kode9's remix of Skeng? Is that minimal and boring too?!

Zomby is minimal, I mean.. just listen to the first tune on that 92 album.. was there even a point in making that track? just looping some wack jungle breakbeat with a really lame bassline.

And as for the Skeng remix.. I hate it, I love the original, but that remix is a joke, it's just some horrible tune he made and then just dropped the acapella over the top, none of the melodies fit or anything.

92 album was harcore not dubstep, so not the best example. Harcore had no rules really so I think he demonstrated that well on that album by having a mixture of styles within hardcore. Pretty clever album imo.

Thats a grower, I used to hate it now I love it more then the original. Hearing it in a club helps.

To be fair, I completely do not get what Kode9 was trying to do with the harmony in that tune.
I hope to god he's just really into his dissonance

I actually disliked the original at first for being a bit on the boring and minimal side! We have opposite tastes, it seems...
