Heyo
Got a new one down.
Here is the 128kbps taster
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jjnzggiyjfz
Let me know if you want a 320 once I polish it up (ie I left sample I was resampling from massive at the start of the tune by accident

)
Levels are sort of scattered but I think It's playable.
Just shoot me a message and I'll gladly shoot you a copy.
I'll fix it up before the 320s go out.
I like this one.

Unfortuanately my workstation's registry was corrupted. I'm going to try to get the lone sources off of the computer but I might not be able to retrieve all of the data properly

I finished this tune on my laptop

I'm envious of your mixing skills. This song is raw and energetic, would love a 320 once you get your stuff all fixed up.
Peace

Thanks man.
For me, making the sounds energetic comes from three things:
1) Layering
Have 4 or 5 sounds make your snare. Have 2 or 3 sounds make your kick. You can switch the sounds that you're using to add swing and variation to the sound while still keeping a common 'tone' to the instrument. EQ them together so that they're sort of all over the map in terms of frequency for a greater sense of a slap.
2) ADSR of your percussion
Gate the elements of your percussion so that they turn on and off really quickly. Don't limit yourself to just a kick or a snare. Use noises against your snares.
3) Volume and location in the mix
Put the percussion right up front.
I'm not the greatest at mixing but these are some of the things I've learned over the years.

Pretty darn good sounding 128 I must say...This tune is super interesting, lots of elements that please my ears. Shoot me a 320 is you manage to recover your data.

I'm coming out to Van the beginning of march.
Who should I talk to for bookings?

I love your production work... WOULD LOVE a 320.
I'd take as many of your production pieces i can lay my hands on. Really nice work.
