Hi Dubstep forum,

under_score are proud to present October aka Julian Smith for a special (and overdue) DJ set. Expect a flawless lesson in electronic funk, delivered by one of techno music's rising stars.

A Bristol boy done good, Julian has been turning heads of late with his unique hybrid techno productions (released on his own Caravan imprint and Ripperton's Perspectiv label) as well as shocking dancefloors with his superior command of the DJ booth. His signature sound, which encompasses fat analogue sounds, squashed beats and brooding narcotic atmosphere, has been proven to keep parties burning from peak time to the early hours.

October's latest offering "Houston EP" is a dark sprawling masterpiece and the sound of a true musician at the very top of his game, and is already laying waste to clubs across the world. With his tracks receiving support from the likes of Surgeon and Steve Bug, 2009 should be a big year for October.

In support we have dubstep newcomer Narcossist. Hailing from a small village in the north of rural England but recently relocated to Bristol, he is perhaps best known for his track which opens Grievious Angel's amazing Dubstep Sufferah Vol. 3 mix. His new dub "Sunblind" (released on Mindset) is a blindingly good 4x4 bass excursion who's old school organ stabs and swung rhythms will hype any dance. With forthcoming releases on the well respected labels Clandestine Communications and NakedLunch, expect big vibes and exclusives aplenty!
