Bassnectar has changed his style a lot. His earlier stuff was much more like nuskool breaks, but with the wobbly bass lines.

Now he's deffinitely heading in a more dub step direction, and I likes it.

Bassnectar is probably one of the best party musician in america right now. He is a classic of Burningman and Shambhala (two big festivals in america).

Saw him at Shambhala. He has the quality of making party music that isn't mindless and generic. His stuff is original and is a blend of hip-hop, DnB, glitch, ambient, breaks, and a lot of other things. He is now going toward a more dubstep style. His new single, Heads Up, just came out and is already a Dubstep classic where I live. His music can go from monstruous bass-waves to happy ambient breaky stuff, from downtempo to uptempo. At Shambhala, he did both a downtempo set at the beach (very psychedelic), and an uptempo break/dnb with very evil dubstep set at the DnB scene. He's more an Ableton Live user than a DJ though (and plays mostly his own stuff).

Look at this:

Check out his albums Mesmerizing the Ultra and Underground Communications. I can't wait to hear of him in the future.

Glad this was posted as I had heard it on the Skream and Kutz stella session a while back and thought this tune was an absolute banger but couldn't find a thing about it anywhere.

It was rightly pulled up.
I look forward to hearing it out more.
