Some suggestions for beginners looking at this thread...

I have compiled what I think are the best plugins and DAW's for getting your dubstep production up and running.

DAW - for beginners, MixCraft; for intermediate users, FL Studio. MixCraft is not a full featured DAW, but it will definitely be sufficient for beginners.

Glitch - download glitch; its a free effect that is very easy to use. This effect can help you make the glitchy bass sounds that are prevalent in songs made by Skrillex and others.

Drums - MicroTonic VST. Its a trial, but the interface is super simple and the sounds are great.

Itchy Synths - these include leads, sub-basses, effects, ambient sounds, and everything needed for a serious dubstep, best of all, they are free.

My site is http://classicaldubstep.blogspot.com - head over there to get all the links to all of this awesome free software. Or click the link below to go to this post with the best free software for beginners and intermediate users... http://classicaldubstep.blogspot.com/20 ... arted.html

Hope I helped
So I like Avicii, and I wanted to make something similar to his genre. Turned out really well...
