rafa, right or wrong?

Post by jonnyrebel » Sun Jan 11, 2009 1:25 pm

Whats everyones opinion on benitez's recent out burst? As a spurs fan and a nuetral, I think hes pretty much spot on. Ferguson gets away with murder sometimes, just cos hes "sir alex". Its obviously not gone quite the way rafa would have wanted with the draw against stoke but hes stood by his comments and even added to them after the game yesterday.

Il be interested to hear what the red faced bastard comes out with today in response. I can see chelsea doing the scousers a favour today. that or 1-1...

Took Fergie's bait and made a fool of himself. Nothing new here.

Exactly. Or say he's got nothing to say on the matter, then slip a sly comment in during a press conference. Prick.

"Rafa's cracking up
He's cracking up..."

I hope John Terry appreciated the support he got from the OT faithful today.

The media (unsurprisingly) are being a bunch of stnuc anyway. "Rafa lanches astonishing and ferocious attack on Sir Alex", or shit along those lines, from the BBC would you believe.

*goes to get quotes of BBC/sport*

"another lacerating attack on Sir Alex Ferguson."

"Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has launched a furious attack on Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson."

That's just the Beeb. No doubt the tabloids will play school-girl again, as they do.

Also..

Former top-flight ref Graham Poll claimed in the Daily Mail that Benitez "has articulated what referees have been thinking for years - that Sir Alex can say what he wants about them and the FA allows him to get away with it."

So, yeah, Rafa wasn't wrong in what he said, but could have spared himself the slight embarrassment of such an outburst I think. Bit babyish. But, at the same time, needed to be said.

Benitez is a twat.

Got to be one of the worst managers in the Premier League.
How much money has he wasted on players that he's sold on for a massive loss? Twat.
