dubstep influences, ill give it that.

but at the end of the day its a hip hop beat. the structure is of a hip hop beat pattern.

its just cos it has the LFO in the background, but that doesnt make it any more dubstep, its just a sound. Ive heard LFOs used in other genres in the past and its becoming more widely used.

the beat for 'Zock On' is better than this Wayne one, but the vocals are pure cheese.

New Clipse has a couple ill beats, some slightly minimal ones.

Im feeling these rap beats outta 'Bama more still.

im not familiar with pharrell at all, and i dont think its great, but its a good tune for me at least, because of the amount of people that just like to hear waynes voice its nice to be able to play something with a cool synth at least. hahahah

im lovin these beats, kinda reminds me of "a milli" idk most people seem to slate'em as boring, annoying or obnoxious but sometimes i like a repetitive beat as it just bashes your ears bass receptors repeatedly. its fun shit.

and ayo technology instrumental is wayyy better than the original. not to diss 50 cent and timberlake (even though its not hard 8) ) i just didnt realize what a sweet beat and melody that song had. Maybe there is some life in it yet!

all pharrell's beats sound like they were made in 5-10 minutes, that's kinda the magic of his sound... using pre-sets and just going with his first good idea... his bank account shows that it works for him...

someone prolly played him some dubstep and this was his impression of it... wobbles and slow n low drums... now, certainly the amount of care that someoe like Loefah takes into EQying and constructing the same sort of sound is much different, but there's no denying it's interesting to hear pharrell's take on dubstep...

also, you guys get a late pass, this was up in the "other music" section of the baord since saturday morning...

maybe old hip hop.... the good beats.

Pharell = garbage

Lil Wayne = fucking wack. I don't see the hype. Only good song was Milli and that was still subparr. Why is the cheap beat king these days? Someone please explain how mainstream hip hop tastes can go from amazing (89' -92' era +Wu Tang 36 Chambers) to ---"I wanna kill myself if I hear these wack beats anymore" (Lil wayne, soldier boy?)

This tune is not dubstep...it's a joke. The reason Pharell is big is because the public has terrible taste in music anymore.
