Lakota is quite big spread over 3 floors with 4 dance areas. You get very hot very quickly and your eyes will kill the next day if you wear contacts like me, or will be, as said earlier, "gritty"

Overall, the acoustics are very good, but have spent most of my time in the 2nd room (dubstep) where the bass is phenomenal

Have a goood time :)

these days the dubstep is in the 1st room. Or at least it is for the Shit The Bed coming up.
Main Room:
PLASTICIAN (Rinse Fm / FWD / Terrorhythm / 90min set)
CHASE & STATUS feat: I.D. (Ram Records / 90min set)
JAMIE VEX'D (Planet Mu)
RUSTIE (Warp / Dress to Sweat / Lucky Me)
HATCHA (Kiss Fm / )
HENCH SHOWCASE feat:
KOMANAZMUK, WEDGE & JAKES
MAXIMUM LIBERATION (The Blast / Old Boys Network)
DUB DOY (Ruffnek Diskotek)
Hosted by: KOAST & C-STRIKE-Z

Second Room:
ANDY GEORGE & JAYMO (BBC Radio 1 / Moda)
ALTERN8 (Old Skool Legend lives at The Blast)
DRUMS OF DEATH (Greco Roman)
FOAMO (www.myspace.com/foamo)
THE BLAST DJ'S (Are shit / total shit)
LUCUS LAFONE (Shoobs)

Third Room hosted by SIGNAL:
CYANTIFIC (Hospital Records / 90min set)
LYNX (Soul:r / 90min set)
ZERO TOLERANCE (V Recordings / C.I.A.)
STANZA (Ambush)
IN:SIGHT (Hospitality Bristol)
JON ETHICS (ATM)

REX (Signal)

No Rusko or Caspa at this one so hopefully less of the 'fringe over one eye, tight jeans' crew like there has been at the last few STBs. edit: oh shit Chase & Status

LOL,

@ Cokeahontas:

I was gonna say if you referred to Lakota's Room 2 as "The Dubstep room" you must have been talking about Shit the Bed. And as Pidge says, this time round the Dubstep is in the main room!

But yeah - I'm a little biased admittedly, but I think its a wicked venue. A proper sweaty rave den with 3 big ass rooms, a lot of sound, and a massive outdoor smoking / chilling area.

As far as "Gritty" goes, Its a little rough round the edges, but it has been there for years and has A LOT of raving history behind it... Just maybe don't wear your freshest brand new trainers though if you get what I'm saying - they probably won't be the next day... ;)

Also anyone planning to check it out this Saturday for Shit the Bed 7 will be pleased to know that we have just added an EXTRA 4 x Double 21' Subs to the Main room rig especially for this event.

If that doesn't make you feel stupid in the face for Plastician's set then I don't know what will!!!!

:bins:

It hasn't stopped being at Lakota, the one in November was there. I wouldn't say the music is all shit, obv Gabba/Speedcore/Hardcore is a load of wank and not overly keen on acid but the Hardtek is always good as standard and the breaks/electro techno whatever that shit is called is sick.
