Hadouken!

Post by k_k » Sat Jan 17, 2009 2:40 pm

this isnt really a dubstep related question but its about production and i may apply it to dubstep, i dunno if i could get it to work or not. so anyway i want to add some nu raveyness(i expect to get stick fer this) to my breaks any tips on how i could recreate the synths used in Hadouken!'s tracks using VSTs like albino and predator. pretty please.

Eugh Hadouken. But from what i've heard i'm guessing detuned square waves, fair bit of chorus and maybe some light overdrive.

nu rave doesn't even exist anyway.

as far as i can tell it's people who don't know shit about synths using terrible presets in the wrong situations.

one of the guys in haduken used to be a grime producer and so incorporates grimes use of detuned square waves into the tunes.

They get bare coverage in NME each week along with Dizzie, Bizzle, Wiley & co.

Proper rave music uses mellow pads, raw hoovers, fast piano chords & pitched up vocals.

If you can mix that with 'dubstep', you'll probably have the sound your after

This has to be a Nathan Barley style joke... They can't actually be fucking serious about this.
