MiscreanT wrote: That untitled tune is sick man i'm listneing to it through headphones cos my dad will kick my tnuc in if i start blasting dubstep riddims at this time of night but i like the tune and the bass sounds phat through the headphones anyway!, think you could make it twice as long and have more of a drop as well so its like: Deep sub deep sub deep sub DROPPLE DROPPLE DROPPLE deep sub deep sub etc
lol ye its not finished yet, i juss cut it off at the breakdown. im not sure i get what you mean with all the drop bizness, u mean like have the initial drop as it is now, and then drop again? lol or u mean like put more things ontop of the sub?

I think take the sub out (or at least the notation of it) for the drop then get a more wobbley angry sound (maybe with the sub following it if needs be). Just adds a bit more variety in the tune so its still bass heavy but also appeals to the wobble massive

Just come up with this track called "Give You Love" on my virb here > http://virb.com/2649372446692430

It's a bit different to my other stuff but it would be cool if someone could have a listen and let me know what you think.

Cheers!

safe I like your track- it's well produced and the bass is really nice
I'm afraid to say I don't like the sample, purely because it's out of tune with the rest of the track
The drums are nicely arranged with a good choice of sounds, props for that ;)
that saw-sounding synth that follows the pad line could be higher in the mix, it sounds like too much of a filler track

I have to say again, the drum arrangement is quality, proper bouncy

legend4ry this tune is fire!
only thing I could recommend is bringin that kick and snare up in the mix a little to make it more skankable
other than that it's skatty and dirty as fuck

This tune has a lot of .. I dunno how to describe it .. but its got a lot of something I can't help but think it could be faster though - like grime speed 140-145 - It would make this a ultimate skanker while at the moment its more of a tune to listen to in the car and bop your head too - its well produced though I think it just lacks some .. "BROCK OUT" factor and it feels it needs it to.. for me.

I like it once the drums come in! Just again, no high end? How much do you cut off the high end in your tunes ? They seem to have no decent amount treble at all - not as a offense just the mixes don't seem that well rounded and I think you lose a lot of clarity because of this.

Apart from that its a good start - that kick is really nice and the beats really nice too, grooving! Keep it up I am feeling your stuff I just feel you need to start boosting / cutting less of your high end out and get more well rounded mixes cause the beats are fire - just the mixes kinda let it down a bit.
Start out the bat, great sound on the intro. Nice clear punchy kick and drums progress oh so nicely.

Basslines so old school and funky - vocals so clear and crisp and warm ! Lovely vocal.

love the weird sound what comes in about a minute - mix is really fresh and everything sounds in the right place and doesn't get lost.

I actually really like this, thanks for the 320 haha.

1:58 - nice lead sound - more subtle progression and done very tastefully.

2:30 - 3:00 .. One of the best things ive heard in a long while in music!

All together, this track is sick and I can't really think of anything bad to say, it sounds professional and its a well produced and written track! I think the only thing I could say is that it won't be everyones cup of tea..

Loving the vibe on this one its so deep and very .. I don't even know the technical term but it has a film-vibe to it, like a epic moment or something, very powerfully written its not to aggressive and not to soft, atmospheric but haunting too.. Its gunna be a big tune !

Hehe, thats all for now :)

cheers teqh ;)
liking the vibes on this, one for the dub room at a party
in fact i might have to chase you up on it when it's finished, currently arranging a chillout dub set which this could fit nicely into

I reckon more layers of percussion later on in the track would work nicely- either hats or african drums

edit: this thread deserves a sticky

Yeah I have just had a play about with it and realized how much better it can sound if i pay a bit of extra attention to the mix. Thanks for making me realize this! Ill post up another version of it soon when I've done a bit more on it bearing yours and stapleface's comments in mind.

Some really kinda words there mr. dary cheers for taking time to have a listen! I'm pretty chuffed with it myself actually, got some tweaking to be done and i think i'm gona get a friend to record vocals over it to replace the ones that are there so it will be completely original instead of using a sample but we'll see how it goes and what that sounds like.

I'm not at home at the moment so i'll leave it till i get back to have a listen to your new piece i'm sure itll be good anyway though.

In the meantime dunno if you got my pm about the remix - i'm having problems with using my keyboard in pro tools so i was wanting the reason self contain file off you if you can do that? Let me know, i'll be on later to tear your tune apart
