yeah i had a great night...

highlights for me were...

Headhunter b2b Luke.Envoy - wicked selection and tight mixing...good start to my night...

Skream's 2006 set - it was far too rammed but the selection was sick...'Midnight Request Line', 'Neverland', 'Anti War Dub'...SHUT UP!!!

EZ's 2001 set - living legend...the guy always kills it...i haven't seen him for 3-4 years so it was nice to skank out to his set last night...dropped tune after tune...quick, tight mixing...smashed the mixer to bits...

Youngsta b2b Hatcha - just killed it...supreb mixing and great selection...

Chef b2b Plastician - probably my favourite set of the night...the selection and mixing was top notch and the vibes were ridiculous...i swear the set lasted for like 2-3 hours aswell...too many dope tunes to mention but i especially loved hearing Martyn's remix of 'Roberta Flack'...boy when that dropped in i was just zoning...haha...

Kismet - smashed it for the stamina crew...some of the tunes he played were fucking immense...really good vibes...i was skanking my arse off...

Very big night, got to big up the FWD crew for putting on such strong and diverse lineups over the last year especially.

PROS

- EZ: ''Sincere'' into ''Little Man''. EZ generally was great.

- D Double - turning up for Slimzee/Tubby and going off almost instantly. Old grime is amazing.

- Youngsta 2005 set - being stood in front of the speaker while 'Rutten', 'Neverland', 'Goat Stare', 'Lightning' etc. buzzed through my whole body and probably fucked my ears up. Youngsta pulled off some big mixes too. It just reminded me again of why I used to think dubstep was the best dance music being made/played - so much rhythm and depth and power.

CONS

- 4 quid for a bottle of beer. No use complaining about it really but I wish I had been more pissed lol

- Missed Marcus and Maximum/Spyro. Hopefully will make up for this by seeing them in a few weeks at PP.

- I suppose being on a half empty dancefloor for a vintage Slimzee or Youngsta set adds to the nostalgic effect (haha) but I really wish there had been more people in the know in the lounge for those sets... For Youngsta I just stood at the back and closed my eyes so it didn't really matter... but I can imagine how much those sets would have gone off at Plastic People, so felt a bit disappointed. Still, I suppose this is what you get at bigger nights where people aren't necessarily music nerds hahaha

- I was stabbed ten times during the night.

OUT TO: tron, rusty, asbo, messer, reecha and co. grandle, blackdown and dusk, hijak, skream, pokes, greena, laurie, braiden... and anyone else I saw.

Thinking about it, a lot of the tunes yunx played had already been played by Skream, so maybe that explains the slight lack of hype.

sick sick night, got there at about 7.45 because i definately wasnt going to miss that night! I missed alot of the lounge sets because I thought that they were going to be as packed as Skreams (silly amouunt of people in there, but when he played burning.... :o )

big up everyone I met or saw, and also out to the breres who thought I was security, about 10 people came up to me and asked if i was security, the state i was in they should have clocked i probably wasnt

Youngsta and Hatcha were heavy, Skream and Benga tore it up as always, Plastician and Chef killed it!!! Would have liked to of seen more sets in the lounge but the main room as too heavy!

I have the fattest bruise on my hand from bashing that metal thing in the main room!!

pretty good night. Working on friday before going out fucking sucks though, was seriously flagging during chef and plastician.

highlights were skream smashing the 96 set, I bet there were about 100 people in there who all own most of the tunes he played - but that didnt make it any less special really. Quite strange that I wasnt really feeling his b2b in the main room at all after that.

Maxi b2b spyro - SICK. Frisco absolutely merked it, The man had too much mic control. Although I didnt really hear him or Jammer spit any new bars.

EZ dropping sincere - was large.

BIG downside for me was Trim and Flowdan not turning up. I knew as soon as I was frisco and Jammer that theyd been drafted in as replacements.

I now Geeneus doesnt go in for loads of MCs any more but it wouldnt have killed them to have two or three more grime MCs in the place, although D double was sick as well.

Would have liked the main room to have stayed open and for the lounge to close instead.

And instead of Chef moving to the lounge for funky (I think he did), keep going with the dnb/jungle selection he was dropping towards 6.

Otherwise good night.

it was Kismet playing Funky in the lounge...

they closed the main room because they were trying to wind the night down and pretty much force heads to leave...they closed the bar at like 6:15am-6:30am...

seen, thought whoever was on the mic when the main room closed was saying chef would be over in room 2, never rly went near the booth after that.

THE BEST:

EZ and all his bangers, last time I saw him was in Ibiza.
Benga & Skream
The reaction to "burnin"
The minor bit of Jungle around 6am
The tunes I didnt recognize that made me wobble
The mezz floor that I didnt know existed
A free henry
No beef
Dubpits

THE WORST:

Drinks prices.
Getting there and realising that I was paying for me AND my mates
Wet rizla
Missing Skream 06
New creps are now old
Leaving to find the Victoria Line closed

Goodbye END.
PLEASE will someone sell me:

KRKN001 - Obeah / Wolf Man - Copenhagen Massive / Eye Of The Demon
+
WAR001 - Bob Marley (Matty G remix) - War

I love you long time
