Polar aka K (D&B Producer): Check the Mix!

Post by capsule » Fri Sep 08, 2006 12:20 pm

Dont know if anybody heard of DJ Polar (aka 'K', yeah just K) from Norway. Hes a D&B Producer but with a very unique sound. I started to listen his tunes when i was 15 (21 now)! Still love(!!!) his stuff after all these years. Its not the regular D&B, its more about the sounds. Its very Dub-like in my opinion cause you automatically concentrate on all the sounds passing by. If you dont like D&B at all, just give it a listen and hopefully it will make you see D&B from another perspective!

Its not mixed by himself but a mix of ALL his tunes!

Part 1 (about 54min):

Part 2 (about 95min):

Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Cheers

I think he's fucked his hearing a bit, that may be part of it.. he's made a few tunes in the last couple of years that haven't been released. He hasn't really sent em out either.

i know he's done some very professional sample cd stuff so him working on scores in hollywood could be true

One of the best Polar tunes, hands down.

Yes, his hearing is damaged. The last I knew, he was living in the Bay Area and was an optician by trade. Good for him though if the sound design whispers are true!
