Gravediggaz appreciation thread!

Post by ST100 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 6:15 am

Wu-Tang deserved one,
Gravediggaz deserves one.

Gravediggaz.... where do I begin?
RZA killed it.
Prince Paul killed it.
oh man.

RIP Too Poetic

R.I.P Prince Paul?

Prince Paul is still very much alive. It was Gravediggaz member Poetic who died

But yeah, Gravediggaz were dope

they killed it on the live tip

saw 'em perform back in the day at the Subterranea and the Forum

wicked shows!

6 feet deep the tune itself is amazing. One of the oddest flows i've heard. I've only got 6 feet deep, what other albums are recommended?

The pick, the sickle and the shovel and nightmare in a-minor are both great albums. not as good as 6 feet deep though

I saw them play that out on The Word way back and was blown away, I couldn't get the album quick enough. Never got to see them live, the opportunities were there, I wasn't, grrr...

Edit: I've just realised you've probably never seen The Word
Early 90's brit TV at it's best, also had Nirvana play live amongst others.

From the mists of the darkness I come with this
Hittin straight, to the chest, like a Primatene mist
Ryzarector, YAH, the fanatical type
I'm like a bat, in the night, when it's time to take flight
Here I am, in the flesh, and yes I love sess
I'm obsessed, by the sounds, the track posess
Intellectual, killer, special majestical
Ropin up the devils have em hangin from my testicles

The album '6 Ft Deep' was released in the UK under its originally intended title '******'

It also has the bonus track 'Pass the Shovel' on it

The second album needs remastering or something - its sounds awful, even by RZAs standards.
