or just burn your .WAV to a CD, then take the CD and rip the track as a 320 in an old copy of music match or something......

Thanks for the help.

but, its still now working

I downloaded lame_enc.dll

and i dowloaded soemthing else to do with lame whitch is a load of subfolders but no .dll files.

i put the lame_enc.dll as the export thing on audacity, but it still comes out as 128. is there an optons menu on lame or soemthing? the only Thing it asks me before exporting is file path, and file names etc..

i dont know whats gone wrong.

(ive even uninstalled it and downladed it again)

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Audacity on the Mac doesn't give my bit rate choices. I use Logic to convey wav to 320. iTunes will encode it to 320. It may not be the best quality apparently, but it's free and does the job.

So... to jump in here... what is the difference in the different mp3 converters? Is one really better than another?
I'm currently using SWITCH and have it set to output "high quality"320's but I swear they sound crap! It seems to cut virtually all the bottom and any shimmer that might be on the top.
So... the question being is there one "be all end all" converter I should be using? I'm gonna look up that "lame" one but it seems like everyone on here trying to grab that is having a pain in the arse.

thanks,
PK

ps> fucka mp3 anyways! I should send out Wavs... they just take forever to load!

LAME is just a way of encoding, it's not just used by one program. I also use Switch (which does use LAME, check your song properties) and I never have any problems.

edit>preferences>general>import settings>custom>stereo bit rate 320> quality HIGHEST

why didn't you just ask the people who wanted a 320 what it was?
