Hey all,

I've got a new tune up on the MySpace.

Update 3rd Feb: I remastered this track today (a bit more top end and a bit less muddy at the bottom), and I've also decided to make medium quality VBR MP3s of my tunes available. Slightly better quality than on MySpace and can be downloaded and taken with you on your MP3 player, but not good enough to DJ with. Grab the MP3 here!

"Dark Chocolate" is here to take you on a mellow 2-step tip, with tight drums interspersed between funky keys, soft pads, and metallic technoid stabs.

If you'd like a 320, you know where to ask.

I'm told this track will be appearing on the next cogidubnus and DFRNT mixes, so watch out for those too.

Got to say, I've been absolutely caning this track since I got hold of it.

I cannot recommend Muteqx's tunes highly enough, and this is his crowning achievement so far. It perfectly blends the more cerebral end of electronica with a kicking 2-step beat that has me jumping around like a loon every time I stick it on.

Yes it is her indeed mate - little Maisy! 6 months old last weekend... bloody hell!

She sat on my lap for much of the writing and mixing of this track (which seems funny, because she probably wouldn't put up with that since then) so I decided that the MP3 image should be of her.

Weirdly, I've written a lot more music since becoming a dad, and I have no explanation why either.

I live across the road from another dubstepping dad too - there's a few of us around!

But my parenting+dubstep heros are Subplan - two parents producing dubstep together! I have no idea how they manage to find the time to do that! (Perhaps they take it in turns?)

Big up all other parents who produce, anyway!
